# I’m now noticing (not sure how long it’s been there) this white…

I’m now noticing (not sure how long it’s been there) this white powdery coating on the stem of this mango. Only on the lower portion of the stems.

Had previously posted about brownish marks on the leaves. Otherwise, plant is growing very well, appears to be very healthy, but just noticed a couple leaves with these spots. It sits in a sunny spot.

Thoughts?? TIA

Could be minerals and salt from tap water? Try using distilled water or rain water.

Would this happen all of a sudden? Have been watering all of my plants this way, with no other issues and no issues until now with this plant (which I’ve had for about 5 months).
