# We watered all our plants before the 5 week holiday. Our Monstera…

We watered all our plants before the 5 week holiday.

Our Monstera deliciosa has yellow leaves so not sure if it was overwatered.

Should we skip the watering for now? Or what could be causing the yellow leaves?

I would check the soil then go from there because it does look overwatered

The soil was still wet when we arrived.

Ya let it dry out quite a bit before watering again. Use a bamboo skewer to really make sure the bottom of the pot isn’t still damp before you water again. I saved mine by pretty much skipping a watering cycle (or even more) before watering again…. Then came the bamboo skewer… I always judge by that and test with that first, even if a schedule tells me it’s time, because often it’s not. 🙂
