# I’m concerned with the health of my snake plant. There are new leaves…

I’m concerned with the health of my snake plant. There are new leaves springing up and then there are dry, yellow patches on other leaves. I’m also concerned with the big leaves bending and breaking. This is my first plant so any advice is welcome!

I’m not sure but I only water my snake plant once a month so maybe you’re overwatering

Looks like overwatering. Snake plants do best if you neglect them honestly. Wait until the soil is dry at least past 1-2 knuckles of your finger.

Yes but I’ve found with plantas once a month reminder and checking to make sure it’s dry with my finger has ensured my snake is thriving as I don’t do the bamboo stick to the bottom thing :)
