# Can someone please help me with my peace lily? Every time I water it…

Can someone please help me with my peace lily? Every time I water it (even if it’s just a little) more leaves turn yellow, then brown. I thought the flowers were getting sunburnt so I moved it further away from the window, but they’re still turning brown. Any help is appreciated!

Pretty sure peace lily’s are sensitive to lime in water so are you using distilled water?

Just double checked and It’s not lime they are sensitive to but chemicals in tap water in general so use distilled or water left out at least 24 hours for chlorine to evaporate or filtered water

Thank you for your help! I wasn’t using distilled water, but will start. Do they have a preference for top or bottom watering?

Bottom water is best

I use filtered water or I fill a watering can and let it sit overnight before I water. It works. :)
