# Just received this Stromanthe Triostar (Stromanthe sanguinea). It has…

Just received this Stromanthe Triostar (Stromanthe sanguinea).  
It has brown shimmery patches on the underside of multiple leaves.  
Other plants that were shipped with it had similar problems too.  
Any ideas what it is? Thanks

Possibly thrips damage

I think it could be thrips. And if so, get them away from any of your healthy plants. I recently had a thrips infestation and lost 3 plants and had to do major damage control on 3 others. 😣

I returned them. Fortunately I had the quarantined far away from my other plants.

I bought them from Rooted in case anyone is thinking of buying from them.
