# I have a small Mexican Key Lime tree that I’ve been caring for since…

I have a small Mexican Key Lime tree that I’ve been caring for since the summer. It was placed outside during the warm weather in full sun and thrived, almost doubling its size in a matter of months. It’s now inside for the winter under a grow light (12 hrs of light) and was gradually acclimated to the indoor setting.

I forgot to water it while it was inside and it dropped its leaves. It has recovered and started flowering before producing some new leaves.

Wondering when I could prune this plant, since all the new leaves are at the top now. Hoping to encourage it to regrow leaves lower down.
