Got this Prayer plant a week ago but the leaf is yellowing and curling inward😰. I am a newbie with plants so any advice is appreciated

are you watering with tap water? prayer plants require mostly pure water to thrive. excessive minerals or chemicals like chlorine and fluoride in the tap will cause yellowing leaves. i’d recommend switching to rain water or filtered and treated tap water. by the look of this leaf though, it could also be over or under watered. how much does the soil dry out between waterings?

Tap water may be my problem as admittedly I have just used that so far. As for water- I haven’t watered it yet as the soil was damp when I had bought it-just misted do far. I’ll try treated tap water and see if that helps, thank you!

Humidity helped my curled leaves unfoil. It also stands taller after it’s been near the diffuser/humidifier meaning it’s clearly happier.
