# Black Dragon Coleus. Sister got this plant and I’m here to try to…

Black Dragon Coleus. Sister got this plant and I’m here to try to save this sad Coleus.I gave it new dirt it lost all leaves prior to my repotting today. Yet tiny new leaves are growing back.  
Please anyone tell me how to save this plant before it dies. Tell me what to fertilize with and how often. It’s in the state of Western Washington so the heat is on this Dec 2023 as I write this.

Mine lost its leaves twice - all of them - once when I brought it home and once when I repotted, I was certain it was dead. A month later - I have a million leaves again.

Good to know this. Tell me how often you water ? And fertilizers do you use if any?

I keep mine outside so it is watered almost every day or every other day if it doesn’t rain. Occasionally I will use a fertilizer 10 10 10 I believe

Coleus needs about 6 hours of full sun to thrive. Place in a south window or add a grow light. The soil needs good drainage. The pot needs drain holes. Let the soil dry one or two inches deep before watering (slightly limp leaves). Water with diluted fertilizer once per month in winter.

I figured exactly this that you say here. Never seen a plant so bare of its leaves.
