# My String of Turtles is not doing well and I do not understand why……

My String of Turtles is not doing well and I do not understand why… it’s turning brown and just generally not flourishing. At one point I had it in moderate light it wasn’t doing well… I moved it to full light and it’s still not doing well

Ohhhh … no… it doesn’t have draining 🤦🏾‍♀️

It’s easier to keep in a plastic pot that can be removed from the ceramic pot to water. The roots are easier to check for rot with plastic pots. You probably have root rot from the roots sitting in water too long.

Make sure that the light is hitting the top of the pot and the leaves!
