Yeah from my experience once they start rotting like this they don’t come back 😢 I agree to hang them upside down after watering and make sure they’re completely dry before putting them back upright.

i agree, i think it’s too far gone :( but in my experience with air plants that are glued into their cute pots, they’ve never survived long. but you can take them out and put in a new one to keep the pot and take it out and turn it upside down to dry after you water it before you put it back in!
