# Any hope for this mulberry or is it a lost cause? Mom’s boyfriend has…

Any hope for this mulberry or is it a lost cause?

Mom’s boyfriend has this mulberry tree that looks pretty bad. It was in a pot before then he cut a large bunch of its (healthy) roots to get it out 🤦‍♀️ the leaves started to die off less than a day later. It got planted in the ground a few days ago now. Any advice on if it’s able to be saved and if so, how to help it?

Have you checked the roots? If the roots look ok, it should still have a fighting chance!

The soil around it looks super dry…is the bottom clay or was the soil loose and nice

It’s in Florida so all of the soil is sandy and not well draining which also doesn’t help at all 😕 at this point I’m just not sure whether it’s worth it to dig up and repot or replant in good soil
