# I’ve had this Striped Calathea for about 2 months now and it’s done…

I’ve had this Striped Calathea for about 2 months now and it’s done extremely well, i’ve trimmed the small dried off leaves and watered/misted according to the app. I woke up today and the leaves are all curling!

Hi! A few questions:

How often do you water and what kind of water do you use?

Do you use a humidifier?

Do you have any airflow (like a fan)?

Almost 70%of mine has curling leaves. Not sure what to do either. I use filtered water and water according to the app. Would love to hear suggestions too! Thx.

Striped calatheas are infamous for being temperamental and dying off. This could be a humidity issue, in which case you may want to buy a humidity monitor yo make sure your levels are ok. Check the plant for pests and inspect the roots if you can. Also, misting often doesn’t do much to help plants and may harm them in some cases. Good luck :)
