# New leaf Issue (Calathea Beauty Star): I have a new leaf growing in…

New leaf Issue (Calathea Beauty Star):

I have a new leaf growing in on my Calathea Beauty Star that has some odd damage on the tip. No signs of pests or disease that I see.

Previously, in early October I had washed the leaves (one time) with a water/alcohol/soap solution and then spots appeared on the leaves, I think caused by sun damage + alcohol left by the spray. I am unsure if this is related to this, but the new leaf would not have been sprayed.

Any ideas what could be the cause? Maybe just mechanical damage?
