# Mealy bugs — what’s the effective way to destroy and prevent besides…

Mealy bugs — what’s the effective way to destroy and prevent besides a flamethrower? I’ve lost several legacy pothos plants to those buggers and nothing seems to work… I’ve tried neem oil, rubbing alcohol / water mixture, spraying with water and repotting up to three times and isolating in different parts of the house. They always come back with a vengeance!
