# Anyone else have problems with coco coir? I have one fern in it…

Anyone else have problems with coco coir? I have one fern in it that’s doing great, one that’s doing its best but needs help, a prayer plant that seems to be more sensitive to moisture levels than when he was in regular potting mix, and a gardenia that flat out doesn’t like it. Thoughts? 🤔

Personally I wouldn’t plant anything in coco coir except Hoya or Hoya like plants. Possibly orchids may appreciated it. All the plants you mention are very thirsty plants. You want something with more water retention or you’ll be watering severely time a week I imagine, just to keep them happy. Imo
