I just recently inherited an aloe vera. That’s been in the family for quite some time. It definitely need some love and I’m not really too sure how to take care of it and where to go from here. I believe that it was knocked over and then some sort of item was holding it up. I don’t know if I should repot it and if so, how to go about it I’m just looking for a little bit of guidance on this one.

😯 maybe repot.

my inclination would be to chop off the lower leaves that look a bit tired \& repot it deep into the soil (bury all the old stem), \& only have the new, healthy growth above the soil.  
Disclaimer: I have killed a few aloe… they don’t seem to like being repotted. I did repot my current aloe \& after a few months of being grumpy, it is doing quite well! — also maybe check youtube for a tutorial.
