Any advice for my maidenhair? ☹️

I've had it for a month and it's been doing really well - until I came home yesterday to find it curled up, dull and almost crispy. Healthy pic from about 20 days ago.

I've been watering every other day or when the soil is slightly dry, misting about 3 times a week. I don't have heat or AC and the climate outside has actually been more humid than normal (I leave my windows open p much 24/7 as long as I'm home) so I'm confused!

Soil is what it came in, from a responsible plant store owner who mixes his own for each plant. It seems like mostly peat but I'm not 100%, it's very light and well draining but seems to hold water well.

Location, pot etc hasn't changed.
