To dry out and die so quickly without yellowing could be caused by excessive heat or adverse chemicals. Was the plant in full sun? Any fertilizer recently added? Is the chlorine level very noticeable in your tap water? I insta-killed the garden plants and lawn near my concrete deck after cleaning the deck with a chlorine soap solution. A 3 feet area near the deck edge was dead the next morning. I didn’t think I used much bleach. But, it wiped out a lot including many earth worms.

It was next to the radiator which could be a cause?

Yes, being too close to a radiator or heater vents can quickly kill a plant.

Wow. That’s a shame. What kind of plant is it!

Oooh “sensitive plant.” Sensitive to touch. I get it. But I’m sorry I’m not familiar with the care. Good luck

It’s looks like some type of fern. I’m guilty of buying them in the clearance to rehab them and they are so finicky and dramatic and annoying (even though I 100% love them). I mist, I water, I feed and NOTHING. Ferns are dramatic and don’t necessarily need water. They LOVE being misted
