Help! Is this mould in the soil of my miniature roses? It has a fluffy dry texture. I’ve done some looking online but I can only find information on mould on rose stems and leaves but nothing about mould in the actual soil?

They are miniature roses (indoor). I water roughly every 5 days but I need to increase as I’ve noticed the soil is drying out very quickly.

Any suggestions on how to save or do they need to go? I have a beautiful bloom on one of them so I will be sad if I can’t save her :-(

Probably over watering?

I don’t think it is, the soil is always bone dry by time I water it so if anything I think I’m not watering enough haha

I found my liquid fertilizer leaves white residue on the soil

Oh I have literally just started using liquid fertiliser so hopefully this is it!

Looks like mold, scoop off the top layer and water less often. If it’s not fuzzy, it’s harmless mineral buildup from fertilizer.
