help! ants!

i left my large aloe outside all season and a colony of ants settled in without me noticing. i’ve already repotted her, cleaned the pot, and tried to shake off as many ants and eggs as possible. then, i brought her inside away from the door. just today i noticed a trail of ants making their way back to her inside! i’ve now surrounded her with cinnamon as i’ve heard this is supposed to help deter them. i’m afraid another repot down/ shaking her out to her roots again will kill her! what should i do??

Find the ant colony and sprinkle ant powder around it. It looks like wheat husks. The ants carry it back inside the colony as food. They eat it and the entire colony dies within a day or two.
