# I have this moon cactus that i haven’t had for a year and the yellow…

I have this moon cactus that i haven’t had for a year and the yellow one has gone downhill. I haven’t watered it in over a month so I thought it just needed water and would perk back up but it didn’t and now it’s mushy and translucent. I looked up these cactus are prone to root rot but I don’t water any of my cactuses often so I don’t think it’s that, I could definitely be wrong so any help would be appreciated!

I would trash the yellow one and repot the red one into some dry cactus soil.

can the yellow top be saved if i remove it?
