# What’s up with my bird of paradise? At first I thought it was…

What’s up with my bird of paradise?  
At first I thought it was cochineal, but I doubt it. I think of maybe a mushroom.  
I applied a black soap solution this evening and wiped off the little white things. But will it be enough?

Do they move? Are they mealy bugs? That’s definitely a lot of whatever it is.

I’m currently fighting spider mites on my BoP. Very slowly winning - I think. 🤞

It doesn’t move at all. And it’s not spider mites. I had those on another plant and you can fight them with black soap, super effective!
