What are these brown spots? I bought this plant and they were already there but I feel like more are popping up? I also found this spot that looks as if it was eaten away (see second photo for reference). Thank you!

One of my plants has the same brown oval spot like the one in your 3rd picture so I would like to know too

No one got back to me on this so apologies but I did some digging of my own. As far as my plant the issue could be over watering, not enough sunlight, and too cold of temperature.

I recommend looking up your plant and google brown spots on it. It might tell you the issues with yours specifically
