# Help plz? I bought a prayer plant online and it’s looking dull, sad…

Help plz?

I bought a prayer plant online and it’s looking dull, sad and flat! And some slits in in a foliage! It just doesn’t look like a happy plant what can I do?!

An option would be to propagate those long etiolated pieces and put them back amongst the plant to make it look fuller.  
Example (and ignore if you’re a propagating master!), for the really long one on the left, cut an inch or two so below that knuckle looking part of the stem as that node is where the roots will grow. Pop it in some water, wait for some lengthy roots and then back in the pot she goes.  
Looks as though this little friend was stretching to find some sun at her last home, leading to that flat look.

No problem ☺️☺️ Marantas can be a little temperamental! I also wanted to mention they’re crawling plants so will always be growing out of the pot (like the right hand side) but the distance between the leaves stretches if they’re not getting enough light 🤍 best of luck

The leaf just looks like something snagged it. I agree with above poster if you want to make it look fuller but otherwise it looks healthy with maybe just needing a little brighter spot. Good luck!
