I am new to this group and new to house plants. I am having issues with little tiny flying bugs. They are like the size of fruit flies. Anyone know what they are and what I can do to get rid of them?

Sounds like fungus gnats. You can use pesticide and sticky traps to kill them. Sticky traps only kill the adults that land on them and eggs will still hatch in the soil so I would use pesticides with them. To prevent them in the future, keep the soil drier

Unfortunately they seem to fly faster than fruit flies.
Agree with what Ashley said. Also can try neem oil and dish soap, and/or Captain Jacks Dead Bug Brew - can find at larger nursery, larger grocery store, hardware store. Just YouTube how to get rid of fungus gnats. And know it is possible to get rid of them.
Good luck!

Sprinkle Bonide Systemic Granules on the soil all around the plants (the amount you'll use per plant size is written on the container) mix them into the soil and when you water for the first time with them, just give the plants a sip, don't water until it drains out.
It'll take about a week to 10 days before the granules work, but they'll end your fungus gnat problem once and for all.
You'll have to reapply every two months to stay on top of it.

Love that stuff!

I picked up some Bonide Systemic Granules that I will try this weekend. I have a few plants that I do not see any gnats around, should I treat them also?

I would suggest getting Mosquito Bits ASAP.
