What kind of water do you use? Do you water it before it fully dries up? Maranta prefer to be watered consistently with distilled water.

yes it’s important to use either distilled or rain water for prayer plants. this does look like hard water or chlorine damage. how is the humidity in your home? dry air can cause similar markings
