It looks like black mold at the base of the Dracaena leaves. I’ve only had the plant for a month. Any ideas what this is? Thanks!

ahh this happened to me and it was root rot but unsure, check the roots and if it’s not root rot u can rule that out at least

if there’s some healthy roots left hopefully u can chop the rotten ones off and save it 🙏

Unfortunately, black stem from overwatering is common for this plant. It’s very sensitive to root rot.
