# Got this plant yesterday off facebook marketplace, but i dont know…

Got this plant yesterday off facebook marketplace, but i dont know what it is or really how to care for it, so i thought id come here for advice! The leavs are also slightly browning so if anyone has advice for that i would appreciate it!

It looks like a majesty palm! I have several and the leaves do that sometimes — it can be overwatering, underwatering, over-fertilization, and/or mineral buildup from tap water. Usually I just adjust their care a bit until they seem happier. You can snip off the brown tips if you don’t like how they look! I do see a new frond coming in, so that’s a good sign that it’s healthy enough to be actively growing!

they’re dramatic plants. i say as long as it’s growing and adding shoots were good

Majesty Palm. Love that plant! But Do not take it inside of your house, bugs and flies reproduce really well on that palm. If you have a shaded patio that’s a great spot for all of the plans you have on that pot.
