# I recently got this plant and read that it doesn’t like much sun…

I recently got this plant and read that it doesn’t like much sun light. But the leaves are falling .. maybe I over water it? I do it weekly .. please help

Always Feel the soil before watering, or invest in a moisture meter. :) with it becoming fall plants won’t need to be as watered as much as they transition into winter mode. The first couple inches should be dry dry dry before thinking about watering but if it feel wet hold off. You may have root rot so I would dig up your plant and inspect the roots, cut away anything that’s gone brown and mushy, rinse anything that’s still alive with 3% hydrogen peroxide and then repot with a good airy soil mix in a pot with drainage that is proportionally sized to the size of the root ball.

⬆️💯% I have a Chinese evergreen and she does well in full afternoon sun with a little bit of water about once every 10 days.

Good thing is once you give it more light and only water when the soil is dry it will bounce back !

Always better to underwater than overwater!
