Are you soaking it in water weekly?

I spray it and shake it dry very well

What is the storage vessel or placement you have it in after watering for it to dry? Air plants need lots of air circulation to dry as quickly as possible after being wet, and also good idea to hang upside-down so water drops don’t get stuck in base cracks, causing rot.

Yes I always hang upside down to dry and I have it in an open terracotta orchid pot just hanging on top

I know this post was made a long time ago, but it’s still good to know - the reason you lost this plant is due to mealy bugs. Those little white spots indicate that, hopefully you had isolated the plant and it didn’t spread.

Thank you! They all died, the air plants but you were right it was mealy bugs
