# Does anyone know how to stop this browning on the plant? I water it…

Does anyone know how to stop this browning on the plant? I water it once a week bc everything I’ve read said it doesn’t need frequent watering. It’s in a shaded part of my house (said low light-shade on the tag I got with it). The brown just keeps spreading don’t know how to make it stop.

What kind of water do you use?

I’m not too sure, but I’ve heard that dracenas can be sensitive to the water quality. So if there’s nothing wrong with the roots, the conditions and your care, it’ll probably be the water

I mostly use left over water from water bottles and sometimes tap.

Yeah dracaenas are very sensitive to lime and minerals in their  
water. To me that looks like what the problem is here.  
I suggest using rain water or distilled water. They’re picky little plants.😅

Is the soil completely dry when you water it? Or are you just blindly watering without feeling the soil first? Could be root rot.

The soil is completely dry when I water it like I said I tend to water it one time a week or week and half
