# Help!! Is this mold?! And if so, do i need to repot the entire plant…

Help!! Is this mold?! And if so, do i need to repot the entire plant or just take some off the top?! 🤔

Im not an expert! But, i do think according to what i have read, it’s mold and you have to repot and put in new soil. Wash your roots throughly and dry with a paper towel or leave them out in a newspaper, cardboard, etc. and then repot

You don’t need to repot. If it’s just on the top scrape off the top layer and sprinkle some cinnamon on top to act as an anti fungal and start bottom watering to prevent it happening again. If its a bit more persistant you can add some 3% hydrogen peroxide into your regular watering schedule you can google for correct ratios of HP to water

I got a little mini rake and I just kind of turn the top of the soil, you smoke be fine. It usually happens from the soil staying a little too saturated. I wouldn’t repot

It looks more like mineral buildup than mold to me - you should get a gallon of distilled water to water w for a while. That helps rinse all the minerals out

Thank you. Yea it doesnt have the texture of mold. I will try this as well thank you
