# Bird of paradise wasn’t looking too hot so i decided to have a look…

Bird of paradise wasn’t looking too hot so i decided to have a look inside the pot. Y’all what is this?? Is the white stuff mold?? I repotted her in a larger container after cleaning the roots completely. Is there anything else I should do or trust that I did enough? Also what are more reputable plant shops because I just got this sucker from sam’s club lol.

Did you clean the roots with hydrogen peroxide? Looks like mold

Yeah I used a little bit and fresh soil

This is a bit random but it works 😂 use cinnamon it’s a natural fungicide, it stops and helps prevent mold growing. I usually just sprinkle it over the top of the soil but you could try adding some into the soil mix

How much do you add? Do you measure it or just plop in down in there

Honestly I just plop it down, I just make sure it’s all covered or if there’s a specific area that has mold i focus a little more there
