# I got this Alocasia as a clearance plant at Lowe’s (score!). The leaf…

I got this Alocasia as a clearance plant at Lowe’s (score!). The leaf in the second photo has had these spots since I bought it. I checked for spider mites before I bought it, treated it anyway to be safe, and since then it has two new leaves, 1 about to unfurl, and 2 new sprouts. Clearly it’s thriving, but what could this be??

It looks like (to me at least) when a leaf gets bruised or squished.  
Maybe it was damaged while it was developing?
