It was over watered

Over watering and needs a bigger pot / I let mine dry out like about 50% then I add water i usually use like a chop stick to check the soil how dry it’s if it’s only wet in the bottom I put water and it depends what area of the USA you’re from to love i live in Washington state.

I would also cut off all the dead leaves so it can focus its energy elsewhere.
