What could be the cause for this new baby leaf to be yellowing/browning before it even unfurled fully?

To me it looks like, the plant needs to be repotted. It seems there are just too many stems competing for nutrients and the soil is becoming depleted. If you recently repotted this plant, maybe look at using an indoor plant fertilizer or a little more often if you have been using fertilizer.

It needs repotted BADLY I’m looking for an affordable larger pot and having a hard time. This pot is 12”
