# Hi can someone help me what to do, it’s been three weeks I bought the…

Hi can someone help me what to do, it’s been three weeks I bought the Monestra plant, I kept it indoor and I watered thrice only the lower leaves are getting yellow I removed 5-6 leaves and now two more are getting yellow

yellow leaves typically mean overwatering. If your plant isn’t too heavy, you should try bottom watering and see if that helps.

planta should give you directions on how to do that if you’ve never done it. it’s really helpful and allows the plant to drink on its own without watering over the soil.

If you’re watering 3 times in 3 weeks then you’re probably watering too often. I water mine once every 2 weeks usually. The top 2-3 inches of soil should be completely dry before you water again. I’ve discovered that most plants prefer to dry out pretty well in between waterings and that helps prevent root rot as well.
