Are these little spots normal? It is not something on the plant that I can wipe away… is in the leaf itself.

My plant had the same thing. Now that she is all grown she has them just on the back. I think it could have been due to water unbalance in my case.

Yes, it’s edema. Super common for FLF

I agree. It’s edema, excess water in the leaves causing the cells to burst!😩😢. It’s common. 😆You can let the roots dry between watering to lessen the severity. Google “Little Red or Brown Spots Plaguing New Growth on Your Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree? Here’s Why (and What to Do).” It’s covered well in that article and includes videos.
