# Why is this happening to my prayer plants? I have a humidifier for…

Why is this happening to my prayer plants? I have a humidifier for them and they also have a pebble tray under them they aren’t infront of a window but they have a grow light for 12 hours a day and they are in a mixture of potting soil, orchid bark, and perlite medium idk what I’m doing wrong😔😔

Are you watering with tap water? If your tap water has high mineral content, that could be the problem.

I do water with tap when I don’t have rain water but it sit out overnight and up until like 5 in the evening when I get home from work

If you’ve got the humidity in check, I’d say next would be the water type and/or if it’s getting too much light with the grow light. They don’t like too much bright light. Good luck!!

maybe reduce grow light hours?

Three things that come to mind are: 1. Too much sun. 2. Using tapwater. 3. Calcium and magnesium deficiency fairly common.

Also i use the same stands as you!
