Anyone know what’s up with my peace lily? The last couple months the flowers have been yellow and all the leaves are yellow/brown. I switched to distilled a few months ago when I noticed a few yellow tips but it’s getting worse.

The flower might just be dying off naturally (they only last about a month or so) and the yellowing/crispy tips could be due to a lack of humidity. It’s pretty common and isn’t going to kill the plant but they’re not very pretty. You could try misting more often or having a tray with some water and pebbles under it, as the water evaporates it will raise the humidity around your plant! Putting him near other plants will raise the humidity too.
(This is because of a process called transpiration, where plants lose the water they don’t need through their stomata (they are kind of like plant pores) so having a bunch of tropical and/or semi-tropical plants in close proximity will help keep the humidity higher)
Sorry this was kinda long but I hope it helps! And that you enjoyed this little plant science lesson, lol.

Thank you! A month ago I moved it to a different spot farther from other plants and the humidifier so I think I’ll move it back where it used to be. Thanks!

You’re so welcome!

One thing that helps me is to remember that \*generally\* speaking:
Yellow and mushy = too much water/humidity
Yellow and crispy = too little water/humidity

It isn’t fail safe, but it gives me a place to start when I’m investigating plant issues. Good luck!

My peace Lily is experiencing the same problem, but maybe it’s time to repot her (we’ve been through some things) lol but yeah this post has been helpful, thanks for asking
