# A friends plant. She said she hadn’t watered in a while and started…

A friends plant. She said she hadn’t watered in a while and started to look bad and she started watering and got worse. What advice should I give her?? We are both kinda newbies but really love our plants ♥️

Aww is that a gold dust plant? I had one of those years ago, miss that little guy!

I’m definitely not an expert, but maybe it would help if you shared some info… ie when the plant was last watered, how wet the soil is at the top and bottom of the pot, whether you see any bugs or anything of that sort.

My super naive newbie guess is that the roots got messed up by the period of underwatering and are now struggling to uptake water and nutrients. Hopefully someone who knows more can chime in though!
