# Is there hope for my spearmint? She was doing so well but I messed up…

Is there hope for my spearmint?  
She was doing so well but I messed up and sprayed Neem oil on her (caterpillars were becoming an issue) during the day and it burnt most of the plant and killed it (Texas heat is insane right now). This is all that’s left. Really hoping she can make a come back. I repotted to a smaller pot today since she is more than half the size of what she originally was. What do y’all think?

I believe in her! My mint made a miraculous recovery after a gnarly caterpillar infestation too

i trimmed my spearmint down to the dirt last spring due to a fungus and it grew right back even better, so i’m sure there’s hope for yours :-)

Mint is super resilient. Some, like my mother, might call it a weed. I give mine a hard chop periodically and it comes back bushier.

Yay I’m so happy about that! It is the plant I use the most along with my lemon balm so phew
