# Hey guys! Can anyone help me or let me know if there something wrong…

Hey guys! Can anyone help me or let me know if there something wrong with my plant? I’m new to planting so I been struggling trying to figure out what’s going on. The photo of the back of the leaf, with the black spots, I tried to wipe it off but was wondering if that’s normal? It’s apart of it. The photo of the front of the leaf looks like what dust and wipes off easily with a wet cloth, it’s everywhere though including in my soil on the stems and stuff? Anyway I can prevent or someone can tell me what’s going on 😭 thanks in advance :)

Those spots are not normal. Looks like debris left by an insects, possibly spider mites. Better to be safe and treat with neem oil or insecticidal soap.

Thank you 😭🙏 so I spray directly on the leaves and soil? I read once a week somewhere? Not sure if I should like drench the whole plant

Try to wipe the leaves and the spiders off with something like baby wipes and spray neem oil. It doesn't go away right away, you have to be persistent

Thank you :) I wiped them with a wet towel then sprayed them, gonna spray them maybe once a week or twice if that’s normal

When I had spider mites I had to clean them off every day :( thankfully my plants have all recovered from them!!
