# My 2 year old avocado tree has recently started losing its leaves one…

My 2 year old avocado tree has recently started losing its leaves one by one. Most of the time they turn brown and fall off I tried watering it more but that did not seem to help, any ideas? Thanks so much she is my baby and I really don’t want to lose her!

Avocado trees need fairly regular pruning, if you cut about 3 in off the top, or above a node, a new steam will shoot up taller and grow more leaves! I think your plant is just telling you that it’s time to do that!
