# This aluminum plant has been through A LOT. It’s finally growing…

This aluminum plant has been through A LOT. It’s finally growing again but the new leaves are curling down.

It’s been watered recently and I’ve done my best not to overwater it but keep it moist. Any tips or insight would be appreciated! I really want this to thrive again 😭

This plant is super fussy! Literally wants an exact amount of water at the exact hour that it gets thirsty lol. If you wait a a few hours too long or do it a little too early or give it a few drops to much it will either crisp up its leaves or start dropping leaves at the bottom. Or just die. I had one small baby one that I killed and so I got another one which is doing much better now. However, after watching some YouTube informational‘s about this plant it is definitely not a plant that will look great as it gets bigger. It continues to drop leaves at the bottom as it grows and often times gets very leggy. Just be mindful to find that delicate balance between too much water and not enough and do it super consistently. That’s really all I can recommend. Good luck!

I literally watered my propagations today that I nearly drowned last week and I checked the moisture. It was DRY so I watered it, now what little leaves I had are drooping like it’s been over watered. Seriously considering just giving up 😩 it was fine until my moms dog mauled it and now nothing makes it happy.

I did notice one tiny little node starting new growth. Maybe I should just prune this thing all the way to the bottom and see what happens. 😭
