# My split leaf philodendron is getting these weird, brown gooey spots…

My split leaf philodendron is getting these weird, brown gooey spots on it. Some of the stems have gotten really soggy as well, so my thought was that it was overwatered? But I repotted it and have been keeping watering to a strict, as needed schedule, so I’m not sure what’s going on

Yes, it’s probably nasty bacteria. You might have to prune back the affected stems, as well.
