# I am having problems with a prayer plant!! I noticed it had thrips so…

I am having problems with a prayer plant!!  
I noticed it had thrips so washed it down, cut off a couple bad leaves, sprayed with insecticide and repotted it. No visible bugs on it now, it’s been a week and shows no sign of improvement. The leaves have since turned yellow but there is still new growth. Will it recover? Please help🪴

As long as you can see new growth, it will recover! You can cut off the remaining dead leaves, and I know it’s sad to see only a couple stumps, but at least all new growth will be healthy. Continue regular care and watch out for recurring thrips, and it should recover!

I would use a combination- bonide systemic granules and captain jack’s dead bug brew. Thrips lay eggs in plant tissue, and the larva are in the soil, so just washing it off with insecticide won’t be enough.
