how is the humidity in your home? it looks to me that your asplenium has been losing water through its leaves via transpiration, and this happens when the air is too dry

It isn’t very humid but I try and mist it every other day

unfortunately misting doesn’t do much for the humidity, once the water evaporates off your plant it’s gone, and you can end up overwatering your plants this way too because inevitably water ends up on the soil. if you are serious about keeping ferns and other tropicals you may want to get a humidifier, this will ensure higher humidity in your home (or “plant room”) and happier plants

ok thank you so much! do you think there are any more ways to try and save it?

honestly i’m pretty sure as long as the air is dry it will continue to decline. in my experience tender-leafed plants from the humid subtropics and tropics like ferns and prayer plants really can’t handle prolonged dry air
