# Does anybody have any advice regarding my Asparagus Fern? It’s…

Does anybody have any advice regarding my Asparagus Fern? It’s getting kind of light in color, foliage is turning white or yellow and thinning out. I water at the recommended 3-4 level on my moisture meter and it is in an area where it doesn’t receive direct sun. I also mist it every day. I haven’t fertilized yet as it was just re-potted in-store a few weeks ago. It’s still pushing up new growth, but I am starting to get a bit concerned…

First picture is before, the second picture is a few weeks later…

Thank you in advance!

I’m also concerned too … kinda cuz I’ve been doing whatever to make this one happy.

I got some new leaves coming out as you can see the light green that just blooming.
Haven’t repot cuz this one is not full roots and it been two months since I brought this one. Without repot. Lol

I can’t say for certain what’s up, but it may just be adjusting to its new environment! There is usually some sort of adjustment period (where it may turn more yellow or loose some growth) once you bring a new plant home, and it’s different for every plant and person. The fact that it has new growth is a positive and a sign it’s not doing too poorly. I also think variation in color is normal, especially with it adjusting. It doesn’t look crispy like it’s not been watered enough and it doesn’t look like root rot either. The longer I’ve had plants, the more I’ve learned that plants have cycles of life. Older foliage has to die away so it can work harder on newer growth. I’d maybe check for pests just on the off chance there is something more, but for now I’d just keep a close eye on it! I’m not sure if this is helpful, but I hope it can at least be a bit reassuring!

Thank you so much! That is actually super helpful and encouraging for a new plant person. I’ll keep a good eye out for pests!
