hey y’all! I have noticed little worms(?) or something eating my propagated succulents and i’m FREAKING OUT. I do not want an infestation. What do y’all recommend for bugs? I haven’t the slightest clue where to start. I would appreciate any advice! TIA!

I don’t have any pictures :/ just really tiny worms eating away at some props. I threw it away immediately. I’m kinda just asking what other people use for pest control. I don’t know if I should use a spray for all my plants or something to put in the soil. Kinda just any advice you got!

1,000% they are fungus gnat larvae 🐛 are they clear/shiny with a black head?

sounds kinda like it. I didn’t look too hard at them

You’ll want to buy some “mosquito bits” —it has directions on the package for fungus gnat larvae.

Yes, if they are fungus gnat larva, you want to get mosquito bits ASAP so that they don’t get established. I had a full infestation two summers ago and there is little that’s more aggravating than gnat swarms indoors and bugs in your beverage every time you set it down.

Were they actually eating your succulents? If so, that might not be fungus gnat larvae, which feed on the roots.

yeah, the base of the prop that was stuck into the soil. looked like little pin worms or something when I took it out
